TAMPA FLORIDA'S ONLY PROFESSIONAL DANCE TRAINING AND REHABILITATION CENTER
The Dance Project is a center for the humanities where artists from many backgrounds come together to share ideas and experiences. It is housed in a beautifully converted 1926 warehouse located in Tampa's emerging Channel District.
The Dance Project dancers work in private and semiprivate sessions to further their dance education. They are taught how to use their bodies in a healthier manner to extend their careers and overcome past injuries.
Training includes private and semiprivate sessions in ballet, modern, Argentine Tango, Integrated Structural Awareness™, Yoga, GYROKINESIS ®, GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM ® and other disciplines offered through master classes and workshops. Dancers have the opportunity to work with a variety of guest instructors and musicians.
These classes are designed to achieve a healthy balanced body and give you extraordinary power to enhance any dance or Yoga practice. Whether you are a dancer, athlete or layperson, the training allows you to effortlessly choose an intelligent, self-supportive approach to movement and daily life. As you become more familiar and confident with your essential dignity, a new approach to your body will unfold--one that more nurturing and less antagonistic--and your efforts will bring faster and more satisfying results, particularly, better body sculpting.
The Dance Project brings cultural arts experiences to all segments of the community and provides dance education to children and adults. Private and semi-private sessions are available in Integrated Structural Awareness™, GYROTONIC EXPANSION METHOD ®, ballet, modern dance, Argentine Tango, Yoga and GYROKINESIS ®. Other services include special artistic and creative healing programs for persons with eating disorders.
